Nikola Tesla
Father of the Electric Age
Nikola Tesla was a Serbian-American inventor, physicist, mechanical engineer, electrical engineer, polyglot and futurist.  Not only did he have photographic memory, he was also fluent in Serbo-Croatian, Czech, English, French, German, Hungarian, Italian, and Latin.  Tesla would visualize an invention in his mind with extreme precision, including all dimensions, before moving to the construction stage.  He typically would not draw his inventions by hand, instead assemble them from memory.  Tesla's greatest focus was on the transmission of electricity.  The most ambitious of his projects was the magnifying transmitter he built in Colorado Springs, Co.  It was used to conduct fundamental experiments in wireless telecommunications and electrical power transmission.  Measuring 15.5 m in diameter, it developed a working potential estimated at 3.5 million to 4 million volts and was capable of producing electrical discharges exceeding 30 m in length.  Using a global array of these magnifying transmitters, it was Tesla's plan to establish what he called the "World Wireless System," providing multi-channel global broadcasting, an array of secure wireless telecommunications services, and a long range aid to navigation, including means for the precise synchronization of clocks.  In a more highly developed state he envisioned the 'World System' would expand to include the wireless industrial transmission of electric power.  Alas, due to funding issues, Tesla's grand design never came to fruition.  Nikola Tesla died penniless, in his home in New York City on January 7, 1943.
"The desire that guides me in all I do is the desire to harness the forces of nature to the service of mankind.”

It is numbered x/250 and is signed by the artist.
This is NOT a poster, it is etched metal mounted on foam core board, ready for easy framing.
It measures 24"x12".
Photos never do my process justice.  I promise you will be amazed once you see it in person.
